So this is my current big project I'm working on. I tried it once before, but that didnot worked out. I hope this one will.

this one is made out of paper origami modules, which I varnished afterwards :)

wow this is intense, good job, but what did you use to make the paper so shiny? I tried glue for mine but it did not turn out the way that I hope for

thank you! I use varnish from the brand aleene's. it's very wattery and actually for paintings xD

Oops! Just read the other comments that you don't have a diagram sorry for asking :( So what are you using as a guide? How did you start the base and how many units for the base?

haha thanks, and that's okay, I understand that many people will make one! so was I when I saw David foos' a year ago.
I'm using pictures of real macaws as guide, and I watch many videos on youtube! just to look how big they are, were the wings are..how they move etc..

I started with his head, not with the beak (which is glued on) the bease is 24. the trick is to add more rows on the upperside of the head, so it will curve.

Thank you for the tip :) What websites do you recommend to look at or search for more 3DO how to do? After I finish the other models I will start on this one... I hope it turns ok :-/
